About us

Lynndale Park, the name, and how our visits run

Lynndale Park lies in west Lynnwood, just north of Lynndale Elementary. Its roughly 40 acres are more than half native forest, threaded by a loop trail, and an amphitheater set among the trees hosts Shakespeare in the Park each summer. Elsewhere in the park are a skate park, ball fields, tennis and basketball courts and an off-leash dog area. The city bought the land in the 1960s, and the park opened in 1969. We took the name because it belongs to Lynnwood as a whole, not to any one street, and that suits a company whose vans cover the whole city and five more around it. To be clear, we are not located at the park or beside it; the name is borrowed, not an address.

Lynndale Appliance Repair is independent, and every job happens in your home, condo or apartment. The technician starts with the outlet, breaker and supply, then puts a meter on the parts the symptom points to; if the fault is in the house wiring, we say so and leave that to an electrician. Once the failed part is found, you hear its name in plain words and see one written price before anything is unscrewed. The $85 diagnostic is counted within that price when you go ahead, and it is the entire charge when you don’t. If the maker’s warranty still covers the machine, we mention it first. Repairs finish with a test run, a clean floor and a written warranty printed on the invoice.

Our technicians work out of Lynnwood and cover Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace, Brier, Mill Creek and Mukilteo, from apartment blocks near the light-rail stations to Brier’s wooded lots and the view homes above Puget Sound. We repair six kinds of machine: refrigerators and freezers, including built-in and garage units; front-load, top-load and stacked washers; gas and electric dryers; dishwashers; ranges, wall ovens and cooktops, glass-top and induction included; and ice makers built into refrigerators. Commercial equipment, furnaces, heat pumps, water heaters, microwaves, garbage disposals, wine coolers, standalone ice machines and small countertop appliances are outside what we do, and we’d rather tell you that on the phone than send someone who can’t help.

Reading before verdict

No part gets blamed on a hunch. The technician tests it with a meter, shows you the reading if you want to see it, and only then names it as the fault.

Price on paper first

You get one written price for the repair before any repair work starts. The price you approve is the price on the invoice. If something else turns up, you hear about it before anything changes.

Repair or replace, plainly

When the readings lead to a refrigerator’s compressor or refrigerant, we explain what we found and how it weighs on keeping the machine or retiring it. The choice stays yours.

A clean exit

The machine runs a test cycle or bake before we leave, the floor gets wiped, and the written warranty is spelled out on the invoice.
