Booking and arrival

How do I book a repair?

Call us, or fill in the booking form with the machine, what it’s doing, the day that suits you and your service address. Either way, we confirm a two-hour arrival window by phone before the visit, and that conversation is a good time to mention a gate code or a steep driveway.

Can someone come the same day?

Often, if you reach us early in the day. Requests that come in later usually get a visit the next day we work, and we work Monday through Saturday. A refrigerator or freezer that has gone warm is moved up the list, since the food in it won’t keep.

Why a two-hour window instead of an exact time?

Diagnosis times vary. A dryer with an open thermal fuse may be a short visit, while a dishwasher with an intermittent code can take longer to pin down. The two-hour window is a range we can keep while still giving each machine the time a proper meter check needs.

Does someone need to be home?

Yes. An adult who can open the door and approve the written price should be there for the visit. If you can’t be, a family member, tenant or property manager can stand in, as long as they can say yes or no to the repair on your behalf.

Can I share the model number or an error code ahead of time?

Please do. Read it out when you phone, or enter it in the problem field of the booking form. The model number lets the technician make sure the likely parts are on the van, and an error code often narrows the search before anyone opens a panel.

The $85 diagnostic and the written price

What does the $85 diagnostic include?

The trip to your home, a check of the outlet, breaker and supply, and meter tests on the parts the symptom points to. You come away knowing which part failed, in plain words, and holding one written price for the repair. On a machine with more than one fault, the written price lists everything the technician found.

What happens to the $85 once I see the price?

Say yes, and the $85 becomes part of the written price rather than a second charge. If you decide against the repair, the $85 is the only amount on your invoice and the technician closes the machine back up. The decision is yours, and nobody will push you toward it.

What happens when the part isn’t on the van?

Some parts, like a particular control board or a less common igniter, aren’t carried on the van. The technician orders it, we schedule a return visit, and that visit isn’t billed as a second trip. The written price you approved stays the price; the wait is the only thing that changes.

Is there anything off a first repair with you?

Yes. If we have never repaired an appliance for you before, check the “first repair with us” box in the form, or say so while we’re on the phone. We take up to $15 off the repair price. It applies to the repair alone; the $85 diagnostic is never reduced.

Can the technician check a second machine on the same visit?

Yes, and it spares you a separate trip. The second appliance gets its own diagnosis and its own written price, and its diagnostic costs $10 less than the first. Tick the second-appliance box on the form, or say so when we call to confirm your window, so the right parts come along.

Machines, parts and brands

Which appliances do you fix?

We repair refrigerators and freezers (French-door, side-by-side, top- or bottom-freezer, built-in and garage), washers of all three layouts, gas or electric dryers, dishwashers, ranges with their ovens and cooktops, wall ovens, and the ice maker inside your refrigerator. We don’t service wine coolers, microwaves, standalone ice machines, disposals, water heaters, furnaces, heat pumps, countertop appliances or commercial gear.

Which brands do you service?

Bosch, Whirlpool, LG, GE, Frigidaire, Maytag, KitchenAid, Electrolux, Amana, Kenmore, Café, Thermador, Miele and Speed Queen all come through regularly, and we work on Samsung washers, dryers, dishwashers and ranges. If the maker’s warranty still covers your machine, we tell you before starting so you can use it.

Do your technicians carry parts?

Yes. The vans hold the parts that fail most around here: drain pumps, inlet valves, door locks, thermal fuses, dryer heating elements, oven igniters and temperature sensors, defrost heaters, fan motors and ice maker assemblies. That stock is why many repairs finish on the first visit. Anything unusual is ordered and fitted on a return visit.

What if the problem is the compressor?

When the meter readings point to the sealed system, meaning the compressor and refrigerant side of a refrigerator or freezer, the technician explains what was found and what it means. Often the useful question is whether the rest of the machine justifies the work, and we walk through that comparison with you before you decide.

What if the outlet or the wiring is the problem?

The diagnosis includes a check of the outlet, the breaker and the supply reaching the machine. If the fault sits in the home’s wiring, we show you the reading and tell you it’s a job for an electrician. Everything inside the appliance, from the cord connection to the control board, is ours to repair.

Lynnwood and nearby cities

Which cities do you cover besides Lynnwood?

Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace, Brier, Mill Creek and Mukilteo, plus the unincorporated areas around them, such as Picnic Point, Esperance and Martha Lake. That covers ZIP codes 98036, 98037, 98087, 98020, 98026, 98043, 98012 and 98275. If you’re unsure whether your street is in range, put the ZIP in the booking form and we’ll confirm when we call.

Does the soft water in Lynnwood and Edmonds affect my washer or dishwasher?

It does, though not the way hard water would. Everett’s supply from Spada Lake runs about 12.5 ppm, so scale rarely builds up. The usual trouble is too much detergent: suds codes in HE front-loaders, foam that slows draining, residue in dispensers and etched or cloudy glassware. Cutting the dose is often the fix, and a slow fill points to a screen or valve rather than mineral crust.

Why does my front-loader in Mountlake Terrace smell musty?

Damp marine air, plus the extra rain the Convergence Zone often drops along the county line, keeps door gaskets wet between loads. Mildew grows in the folds, and leftover detergent from overdosing in soft water feeds it. Wipe the gasket, leave the door ajar and use less soap. If the smell comes with a slow drain, the technician checks the pump and its filter.

My garage freezer in Mill Creek struggled during the heat. Should I worry?

Unofficial readings put Mill Creek at 107°F on June 28, 2021, during the heat dome, and garage units ran far beyond what they were built to handle. A unit that ran nonstop then may now have a tired condenser fan, a weak start relay or dust-packed coils. If yours runs constantly or the ice cream turns soft, book a diagnosis before the next hot stretch.

My ice maker in Mukilteo stopped after a power outage. What now?

When the November 2024 windstorm peaked, PUD outages topped 70,000 customers across Snohomish County, and afterward many ice makers didn’t restart on their own. First check that the freezer is cold and the ice maker’s arm or switch is in the on position. If it still sits idle, the technician tests the inlet valve, the module and the control board.
