Six appliances
Six home appliances our Lynnwood technicians fix
These six are the large machines we repair in houses, condos and apartments. Pick one to see the faults we meet most often, the parts behind them and how a visit runs.
Refrigerator and Freezer RepairFrench-door, side-by-side, top- and bottom-freezer, built-in and garage units. A warm fresh-food section, frost on the back panel or water under the crisper leads to a defrost heater, fan motor or blocked drain.See refrigerator repair
Washer RepairFront-load, top-load and stacked laundry centers. Drain pumps, door locks, lid switches and inlet valves top the list, along with suds errors from using too much detergent in very soft local water.See washer repair
Dryer RepairGas and electric dryers that tumble cold, need two cycles, squeal or quit mid-load. Thermal fuses, heating elements, igniters and belts are common, and a lint-packed vent is often what opened the fuse.See dryer repair
Dishwasher RepairDishwashers that hold water in the tub, won’t fill, flash a code or leave glasses cloudy. We test drain pumps, inlet valves, door latches and control boards, and we check how much detergent goes in.See dishwasher repair
Range, Oven and Cooktop RepairGas and electric ranges, wall ovens, glass-top and induction cooktops. Weak igniters, burned-out bake elements, temperature sensors that read wrong and burners that click without lighting make up most of these calls.See oven or range repair
Ice Maker RepairIce makers built into refrigerators, not standalone ice machines. No ice, hollow cubes, a stalled ejector or a frozen fill tube points to the inlet valve, the assembly itself or a freezer running warm.See ice maker repair
In-home repair
In-home appliance repair across Lynnwood’s houses, condos and apartments
We named the company after Lynndale Park, the forested city park in west Lynnwood, and Lynnwood is where our technicians start each day. About 40 percent of the city’s homes went up between 1960 and 1979, and fewer than half are detached houses, so one morning might bring a split-level kitchen off 44th Avenue W and the next a condo laundry closet near City Center. Heat here is mostly electric, which keeps electric ranges and dryers common; Edmonds, Mukilteo and Brier lean further toward gas. In Mill Creek and around Martha Lake, many machines live in houses built since 2000, often with built-in refrigerators and stacked laundry. Whatever the building, the technician arrives with a meter, a stocked van and the paperwork to finish the job.
Most calls come down to a short list of parts. A defrost heater quits and the evaporator ices over; a drain pump jams on a sock; a dryer thermal fuse opens because the vent is packed with lint; an oven igniter grows too weak to open the gas valve. The technician proves the fault with a meter before naming it, then writes one price for the whole job. Common parts ride in the van, so many repairs wrap up on the first visit. If the readings point to a refrigerator’s compressor or refrigerant, we explain what that finding means for fixing the machine or replacing it. If the outlet, breaker or supply is the problem, we show you the reading and say it belongs to an electrician, since anything outside the appliance is wiring work.

What the visit costs, and two boxes worth ticking
$85
The $85 diagnostic
It covers the trip, the meter tests and a written price. Say yes to the repair and that $85 is already inside the total rather than added on top. Say no, and that single charge closes out the visit.
up to $15
First repair with us
Never had us out before? Tick the first-repair box when you book online, or bring it up on the phone, and the repair price comes down by up to $15. The diagnostic stays as quoted.
$10
A second machine
If another appliance is acting up, the technician can check it on the same visit, and its diagnostic runs $10 less. Use the second-appliance box in the form, or mention it when we call back about the window.
How a visit runs
From your call to a machine that runs again
- 1
Call or book online
Phone us or send the booking form with the machine and what it’s doing. We call back to confirm a two-hour arrival window, and most visits land the same day or the next, Monday through Saturday.
- 2
Meter, then a price
The technician checks the outlet and breaker, then tests the suspect parts with a meter instead of guessing. You hear which part failed in plain words and get one written price before a single screw turns.
- 3
Repair, test, warranty
Once you approve, parts from the van often finish the repair that visit. The machine runs a full test, the work area is left clean, and the written warranty goes on the invoice. A part we must order brings a return visit with no second trip charge.

Where our technicians work in south Snohomish County
Our technicians set out from Lynnwood and cover five neighboring cities. They sit close together, yet the housing differs enough that a Brier call and a Mountlake Terrace call rarely look alike.
- LynnwoodHome base. Apartments near City Center and the light-rail station, 1960s and ’70s houses off 44th Avenue W, and newer builds around Martha Lake.
- EdmondsHillside homes from the 1950s and ’60s, view houses with long dryer vent runs, and remodeled kitchens with built-ins from Westgate to Seaview.
- Mountlake TerraceSmall postwar homes first built for returning veterans, condos from the ’70s and ’80s, and Town Center mid-rises along 56th Avenue W.
- BrierDetached houses on large wooded lots, about a third of them from the 1980s, and roughly two-thirds heating with gas, so gas dryers and ranges are routine.
- Mill CreekMaster-planned streets around the golf course, almost no homes older than 1960, and Mill Creek East, where most homes date from after 2000.
- MukilteoOld Town near the ferry and the lighthouse, Harbour Pointe’s planned neighborhoods from the 1980s and ’90s, and gas heat in about half the homes.

Puget Sound homes
Puget Sound weather, very soft water and your appliances
The Everett water from Spada Lake that reaches all six cities we serve is very soft, about 12.5 ppm. Hard-water scale is rarely the culprit here, so a slow fill usually means a clogged screen or a tired inlet valve. Detergent is the bigger problem: soft water lathers easily, and a full scoop in an HE washer or dishwasher brings suds codes, gummy dispensers and cloudy glasses. Damp marine air adds mildew on front-load door gaskets and condensation in dryer vents that cross a crawlspace or garage. Summers are usually dry and mild, but during the June 2021 heat dome unofficial readings hit 109°F in Lynnwood, and garage freezers struggled. After the November 2024 windstorm, we heard about ice makers that stayed silent and displays flashing codes.
Go light on detergent
In water this soft, a full dose of HE detergent turns into suds codes, dispenser gunk and etched glassware. A lighter dose usually cleans as well and spares the machine; scale is rarely a factor.
Convergence Zone damp
The Convergence Zone often settles over the King–Snohomish line, soaking Lynnwood, Edmonds and Mountlake Terrace. Prop the washer door open between loads, and keep dryer vents short and uncrushed so laundry dries in one cycle.
After an outage
At the storm’s worst, more than 70,000 customers of Snohomish County PUD sat without power after the November 2024 bomb cyclone. If an ice maker or control board stays dark once power returns, the technician tests it rather than swapping parts on a hunch.
FAQ
Questions before you book
Which appliances do you repair in Lynnwood?
Refrigerators and freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges, ovens and cooktops, and ice makers built into refrigerators. That includes French-door and built-in fridges, stacked laundry centers, gas and electric dryers, wall ovens and induction tops. We don’t work on microwaves, wine coolers, standalone ice machines, water heaters, furnaces, heat pumps, garbage disposals, countertop appliances or commercial equipment.
My freezer is warm. Can you come today?
A warm refrigerator or freezer moves ahead of other calls, because the food inside is on a timer. If you reach us early in the day, a same-day visit is often possible. Until the technician arrives, keep the doors shut, and check that the plug is seated and the breaker hasn’t tripped.
Which brands do you work on?
Whirlpool, GE, LG, Maytag, Frigidaire, KitchenAid, Bosch, Electrolux, Kenmore, Amana, Café, Speed Queen, Thermador and Miele, along with Samsung laundry, dishwashers and ranges. If the manufacturer’s warranty still covers your machine, we tell you before any work, since that coverage may pay for the repair. Older and newer models alike get the same meter-first diagnosis.
How do I give you the model number or error code?
Read it to us on the call, or type it into the booking form when you describe the problem. The model sticker usually sits inside the refrigerator wall, along the dishwasher door edge or inside the dryer door frame. With the number in hand, the technician can check that the right part is on the van before arriving.
Is an older appliance worth repairing?
It depends on the machine’s age, which part failed and what the written price says next to the cost of a replacement. A new igniter in a sound range is usually worth it; a refrigerator whose readings point to the compressor is a closer call. The technician lays out what was found and leaves the decision with you, and if you pass on the repair, $85 settles the visit.
Is there appliance repair near me in Mukilteo or Mill Creek?
Yes. Our technicians start from Lynnwood and cover Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace, Brier, Mill Creek and Mukilteo, from Harbour Pointe and Old Town to Silver Firs and Mill Creek East. Unincorporated pockets such as Martha Lake, Picnic Point and Esperance are on the map too. Put your ZIP code in the booking form and we’ll confirm on the callback.
Do you fix gas dryers and gas ranges?
Yes. Gas dryers and ranges are common in Brier, Mill Creek, Edmonds and Mukilteo, where many homes heat with piped natural gas, and less so in mostly electric Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace. Gas dryer calls usually end at the igniter, the flame sensor or the valve coils, and range calls at a weak bake igniter. If you smell gas, leave the house and call the gas utility from outside.
